Tribute To Nancy Hey

Today the Mirfield community paid tribute to one of our most respected residents, Nancy Hey, who recently passed away.
She was a local business woman and keen volunteer for many years on the Mirfield Agricultural Show committee.
Nancy, along with her late husband Ken, was involved with Mirfield Show from the very beginning. They were both key people in the development of the popular one day Mirfield event.
Whilst Ken looked after the Flower and Vegetable competitions, Nancy was in charge of Stall bookings and the Craft stall bookings. And, as important committee members, they were also involved in the many decisions that need to be taken to host such an event.
Although Nancy and Ken retired from the organising committee some time ago, the foundations laid down by them in the past are still with us today. Their legacy lives on.
Our thoughts are with Nancy’s family at this time.
