Save a date for your diary! This year’s Mirfield Show promises to be the best yet with new attractions and competitions as well as old favourites. The 2019 Mirfield Show will be taking place at the Mirfield Show Ground on Sunday 18th August.

With adult advance tickets available for only £4 until 14/08/2019 (£6 on the day) & under 16s admission remaining free, this year’s show is bound to attract as many visitors as previous year; If not more. Always a great day out for all the family, the show continues to grow in popularity and last year attracted over 10,000 visitors from across Yorkshire. Advance tickets are now available to buy online through the Mirfield Show website.

Jonathan Evans, show chairperson, said: “Mirfield Show is a great family day out and provides the opportunity to show the wide range of talents and skills we have in Mirfield and Yorkshire.  From the bands and musicians that will be performing, to the local designers and artists in the Made in Yorkshire craft tent, and all the excellent competition entries in the baking, gardening and handicraft classes. With so much variety, I encourage everyone to take a look at our website and see if there is a competition or class that fits for you.”

Mirfield Show can only offer the spectacular day out thanks to the generosity of our sponsors. It’s never too late for your company or organisation to get involved with Bronze sponsorship packages starting from just £150. Flower & Vegetable Classes Schedule Now Available

With Spring officially in the air, those with ‘green fingers’ will be thinking about what to plant in your greenhouse and garden. We are appealing to all those budding exhibitors of all ages and abilities to enter our Flower and Vegetable Show, a favourite of all those who attend the show. With over 40 different categories, there is bound to be something suitable for every budding grower out there. From French beans & roses, through to with a plate of 6 berries or sweet peas, check out the website or pop into Ramsdens Butchers for a comprehensive list of the categories on offer.

In the Domestic Classes this year we are introducing the Confectionery Class with the Mary Berry Lemon Meringue Pie as the men’s baking class.

Head of Competitions, Louise Hardy says: “This year’s show hopes to attract more entrants than ever before. The competitions tent is always a popular spot for any visitor to the show – It’s a great place for gardeners in the local community to showcase their talents proudly. We encourage all ages to get involved. We have introduced some interesting new classes to embrace this year’s Transport theme, throughout the marquee. The Transport theme will also run through the scarecrows and fancy dress competitions.”

Volunteers – We need you!

The show would be nothing without our hard-working volunteers. The committee work throughout the year to bring the show together on the special day. To keep our 10,000+ visitors happy on Show Day, we are always on the look-out for volunteers to come along & help out over show weekend. If you fancy yourself a fun ‘meeter & greeter’ or are handy at putting up marquees (gazebos), get in touch as we may have just the position for you.
