Scarecrow 2018 rules
If you would like to take part, further details and the rules are available at www.mirfieldshow.com and entry is free. All you need to do to register your scarecrow is email smithjulia5@sky.com or write to Mirfield Scarecrows, 30 Lincoln Avenue, Roberttown, Liversedge, WF15 7NH giving your name, scarecrows name, address and contact telephone number by the 14th August to reserve a space and avoid disappointment. We will also take entries on the day at the registration point but only if there is space left. Please bring your scarecrow along to the show ground by 11.00 a.m., on show day and site it as guided by the stewards for judging.
Your scarecrow can be anyone you wish but the judges are looking out for anything to do will wool or the woollen industry, as our theme this year is Heavy Woollen and Rural Yorkshire. Shepherds or sheep are a thought or in a knitted outfit. You could also dress your scarecrow as a scarecrow.
