Winter Poetry Competition 2024
We seek poems reflecting this chilly season – any format and as serious or amusing as you wish – simply enjoy writing them.
Entries from all ages are open right up to 10th January 2025.
Prizes will be delivered by the end of January, and your poems will be displayed in the show marquee on Sunday 17th August 2025.

Class 1 – adults – poem up to 30 lines |

Class 2 –writers 15 to 17 years – poem of up to 25 lines |
|
Class 3 – writers 13 to 14 years of age – poem up to 20 lines |
|
Class 4 – writers 11 to 12 years of age – poem of up to 20 lines |
|
Class 5 – writers 9 to 10 years of age – poem up to 16 lines |
|
Class 6 – writers up to 8 years of age – poem up to 12 lines – may include a picture |

Class 7 – creatives 6 to 8 years of age – winter-time picture in any medium |

Class 8 – creatives up to 5 years of age – winter-time picture in any medium |
