FREE Children’s Activity Packs

Our volunteers at Mirfield Show are rarely short of ideas to occupy the young minds of Mirfield. Our latest offering is providing Children’s Activity Packs to while away these lockdown hours.

Packs are mixed and there is something in them to suit boys and girls aged four upwards. Please do pass on what you can’t use! CONTENTS WILL VARY but there are some great activity sheets including wordsearches, crosswords, spot the difference, creative writing and poetry themes. We have also included two fabulous baking recipes and colouring sheets in our theme for this year of Be Kind, Togetherness and Friendship. Also included are sewing kits, colouring pens, pencils or crayons, fun face mask, glue sticks, rubbers, mini notebook and pens! Oh, and a pack of marigold seeds and pot for you to start growing. Phew! that’s a lot to be going on with and if you get a moment, you can even design your own Easter card!

The first batch of packs were available FREE from Ramsden’s Butchers in Mirfield Town Centre from 26^thFebruary and they WERE ALL GONE IN A FEW HOURS! More will be available from Wednesday 3^rd March 9:00am, again from Ramsden’s Butchers. It’s first come, first served. Please observe social distancing rules in the shop and only take what you need. We are also donating some packs to Loving Hands Outreach Team.

Louise Hardy, Vice Chairman of the Show Committee says “We are also giving packs to Community Outreach groups who support vulnerable families in our area. This is to include them in our Show Activities.”
